This is the first text to be written on the topic of Self-Field Theory (SFT), a new mathematical description of physics distinct from quantum field theory, the physical theory of choice by physicists at the present time. SFT is a recent development that has evolved from the classical electromagnetics of the electron’s self-fields that were studied by Abraham and Lorentz in 1903-04. Due to its bi-spinorial motions for particles and fields that obviate uncertainty, SFT is capable of obtaining closed-form solution for all atomic structures rather than the probabilistic solutions of QFT.

Historical preview, including classical electromagnetics (CEM), quantum field theory (QFT), brief survey of modern physics; self-field theory (SFT); differences between the fields of CEM, QFT and SFT; SFT as applied to the hydrogen atom and hydrogen molecule; SFT as a model for gravitation; modified Maxwell–Lorentz equations for strong nuclear regions; The photon as a composite structure with its own spectroscopy, mass of the photon, boson structures according to SFT; six quantum numbers of SFT, including new photonic binding structures, spin and elementary particles electron-proton shells and Pauli exclusion principle, gravitational structure of the Universe, boson transit across the Universe, the phonon and its scientific history, role of the phonon in electroacoustics, ultrasound, piezoelectricity, sonoluminescence, storm clouds, terminology and standards, solar wind, and the Big Bang; two appendixes, including mathematical preliminaries and physical constants.
