ILM Publications is a new book publisher working in association with ILM Bookstore. We produce high-quality books for scientists in industry and academia. We focus mainly on the areas of analytical chemistry, environmental science, and energy and fuels, but we will also consider other scientific topics. We are interested in publishing different types of books, including single-author monographs, edited reference books, handbooks, practical guides for training courses or workshops, conference proceedings, and market research.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens after I have submitted my book proposal?
It is reviewed by experts in the field and their feedback is sent to you for assessment. Then your project is presented to our publishing committee and, once approval is obtained to publish the book, the terms of the contract are agreed.

How long will I have to write my book?
We recommend you allow approximately one year to 18 months to complete the manuscript. However, the important thing is to provide a date you feel comfortable about being able to meet and we can discuss this with you.

How long does production take?
The production stages consist of copyediting, typesetting, proofreading and indexing. We are able to provide a speedy service; the average time is 5 months or less, depending on the length and complexity of the book. We will provide you with a schedule for proof checking and a projected publication date.

Will I be able to get involved in the marketing of my book?
On acceptance of your manuscript, you will be invited to put forward any ideas that may help in the marketing of your publication. As an expert in the field, your input is most valuable in creating a marketing plan for greatest effect.

What happens after my book is published?
On publication day, your complimentary copies are sent out. Then we will keep in contact with you to let you know how your book is selling and to discuss any future marketing or selling opportunities.
